The 1977 construction plan

In 1977 a discussion started also about a building plan of the University
of Modena, which was a proposal for the definitive arrangement of the
university buildings. The idea of the plan started from an examination
of the places of the University of Modena of that time. The consider-
ation about the opportunity or necessity or possibility of restructuring
or expanding the various places was made taking into consideration a
number of important objectives aiming at a better use of places, the
grouping of places and laboratories according to disciplines, the devel-
opment of the historical heritage.
The building plan consisted in six sectors, some located in the city
centre and other in the periphery. The sector n°1 would have been
the one located between via Università and corso Canalgrande - the one
